Matt Baer
Matt is passionate about helping mission-driven organizations better tell their stories and achieve their goals.
As vice president of client services and a senior project manager, Matt brings his commitment to productivity and purpose to MG and his clients. He thoughtfully executes project goals and deliverables co-created by MG and our wide range of clients. His leadership as vice president of client services provides the agency with strategies, creativity, and systems to best carry out our client work.
His areas of expertise include:
- Development of strategic work plans and budgets
- Oversight of key deliverables and execution of ongoing client partnership
- Partnership with clients on project oversight and team collaboration
- Systems-thinking and internal process development
- Project teaming and collaboration methodologies
Experience
Prior to working at MG, Matt worked and volunteered with nonprofits and community-based organizations focused on local farming, urban planning and young adult education including EcoDistricts in Portland, Oregon; Local Food Hub in Charlottesville, Virginia; PB&J Fund in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Matt has a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Sciences and Urban Planning from the University of Virginia.

Matt spends his time exploring the Pacific Northwest with his daughter and their dog, cooking and enjoying local flavors, and visiting the endless playgrounds in the greater-Portland area.
