Chris Duncan Didway
Do your little bit of good where you are; it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.— Desmond Tutu
Chris relishes connections between projects and people. She is the ultimate “people person” and dives into collaborations to create a positive impact.
Chris manages projects across the MG portfolio, working with our team and clients to facilitate success for internal and external goals. She builds the infrastructure, partnerships and pathways to move strategies forward by stewarding pivotal relationships. Chris’ people skills and communication mastery build deeper connections between organizations and their supporters.
Her areas of expertise include:
- Partnership development
- Project management
- Community engagement
Experience
Chris has spent her career in social justice campaigns, volunteer engagement, and donor relations. Her background in higher education administration and fundraising, in legislative/campaign work and constituent relations, and in the non-profit development world make Chris a valuable member of the MG team. Early in her career, a three-year teaching stint in Japan solidified her passion for Southeast Asia, travel, and adventure and cultivated her interest in a more global perspective.
Chris is an Oregon native and completed her undergraduate degree at Willamette University, prior to earning a masters degree at the University of Portland.
In Community
Chris serves on the Clackamas Community College Budget Committee, works on various political campaigns, and volunteers with her church as a deacon and member of the youth and children’s services committee. Throughout many years of volunteering at her children’s schools, local campaigns and various nonprofits, she often ends up serving on the fundraising committee due to her belief that people want to give of their time, treasures and talents—they just need to be asked and paired with their passions and interests.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys time with family and friends, sharing amazing meals, traveling, exploring new places and taking in nature. She loves theater, movies, Broadway musicals, art galleries and all things flowers—on occasion, she moonlights at a flower shop just for fun.
