Somya Singh

Somya is passionate about design, collaboration, and working in community. She works with the New Business Development team on positioning, visual communication, and marketing.
With a background in architecture and exhibit design, Somya’s ethos is rooted in design theory. She works collaboratively with the NBD team on leading positioning initiatives, marketing, and client acquisition. Her day to day work includes managing and creating content for the agency’s social media platforms, designing and executing marketing collateral, maintaining MG/ISMG’s websites, planning virtual and in-person convenings, and supporting client acquisition efforts via proposals and research.

Experience
Somya has a Master of Architecture degree, and before joining MG, was a museum exhibition professional for over 10 years, serving as director of exhibits at Portland Children’s Museum—in addition she is also a designer and illustrator. She continues to live out her life’s mission: to design and build the scaffolding necessary to bring diverse communities together to create transformative experiences.
In Community
Somya volunteers with KBOO community radio. She has also volunteered with Street Roots and Sisters of the Road Café, both Portland-based community organizations committed to alleviating the suffering caused by poverty.
Born and raised in Canada, Somya loves traveling, drawing, listening to—and talking about— music, and visiting museums with her partner. She is an artist, collaborator, and community member. She makes comics too!
